  For Veterans Day 2026, the Town of Ashland, the Downtown Ashland Association, and the Market Ashland Partnership (MAP) are proud to partner in honoring our nation’s Veterans. Commemorative banners will be displayed throughout downtown Ashland from October 15 through November 15, 2026. All proceeds benefit Vets on Track Foundation.

  Submissions are due by July 24th, 2026.

  • Honorees must have served in the United States Armed Forces or National Guard
  • Space is limited to 23 banners, which will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Banners will be displayed from October 15 – November 15, 2026
  • After removal, banners will be available for sponsor pickup
  • Sponsors and their families are encouraged to visit downtown Ashland and share photos through the Downtown Ashland Association website

  Special Veterans Tribute Events – November 7, 2026:

  • The Hanover Concert Band will honor our Veterans with a patriotic performance at the Hanover Arts & Activities Center at 10:30 am, located at 500 S. Center Street, Ashland, VA 23005.
  • Veterans’ Organizations will have vendor tents at this event to share educational information

  • Local restaurants and coffee shops will feature special menu items honoring Veterans. Sponsors are invited to partner with participating establishments to feature a favorite dish in honor of their Veteran.

  Menu Item Honoring Your Veteran

  If you wish to partner with a Downtown Ashland restaurant or coffee shop for a Saturday November 7th menu item in honor of your Veteran, please provide the details below.

  Example:

  “The Kirbinator” – a bacon double cheeseburger with all the fixings on a brioche bun and a side of crispy French fries created in honor of Forrest Kirby Pollard, U.S. Army (1959–1965).
